2022 TCS London Marathon - RNLI Volunteer Registration

Event: 2022 TCS London Marathon

Thank you for your interest in supporting our RNLI running crew at the London Marathon 2022! The big race is coming and we need volunteers like you to help support and cheer on our dedicated runners.

The excitement on the day is incredible. And you'll be supporting and helping to raise money to help our courageous lifeboat crews and lifeguards save lives.

There are two types of volunteer roles, whether you want to cheer on our runners at our two cheering stations, or meet them at the end of their challenge by assisting them to the RNLI Race Day Hub, we would love your help!

RNLI Cheering Stations are situated at Canary Wharf and on Embankment near Tower Lifeboat Station and the RNLI Race Day Hub is a short walk from St James's Park. Volunteers are needed from approximately 11am - 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Whoop, cheer, whistle and shout your support for the RNLI Running Crew or greeting runners and their friends and family at the finish line and the Race Day Hub.

• If you have a camera, get snapping! After the race, share your photos with our runners and on social media using #RNLIRunners .

• Most importantly – enjoy yourself!

Please note the cheering stations do not have chairs, so this role does involve standing for periods of time.

• Keep yourself refreshed with bottled water and sweet treats.

• Kit yourself out with the cheer gear.

• Meet, chat with and get to know all of the fantastic people supporting our runners from their families to the RNLI staff at the event.

• RNLI goodies - including an RNLI top.

No prior knowledge or experience of the RNLI is needed - you could be friends or family of one of the runners, an RNLI supporter or just want to join us for the experience. This is an opportunity to include volunteer experience on your CV, meet new people and support the RNLI Running Crew – all while enjoying one of the UK’s best loved sporting events from a prime position.
